Homeschool questions

Is Kids Shelf a complete homeschool curriculum?

Kids Shelf covers a full year of math and science for each grade from Kindergarten to Grade 8, plus read-aloud reading practice. Families pair it with their own language arts, writing and history.

Do lessons follow standards?

Yes. Math follows the Common Core State Standards and science follows NGSS. See the standards page for every code and the chapters that teach it.

How long is a lesson?

Most lessons take about 4 to 6 minutes, so a few lessons make a focused school session for younger children.

Can my child work at a different grade?

Yes. You can set and change each child’s grade at any time, to catch up or work ahead.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Download a unit or a whole course, and lessons and quizzes work offline.
